Lancashire Sun is a members owned naturist club set in 10 acres of quiet, secluded, mature woodland with plenty
of space for relaxing and recreational sports. The main club house / pavilion contains a dining and recreation area. It comprises
a carpeted area with a pool table, tables, chairs, seating and an equally large area which doubles as a dance floor or an
area for table tennis. To the rear of the club house is a well equipped kitchen which is available to all members and
guests for any of their self-catering needs. Impromptu meals for a dozen or more are not unknown. Week-ends see the main pavilion
used for social evenings and, normally, once a month, a themed event takes place. This can be anything from a barbecue, a
dance evening, a folk music night, a quiz night or an indoor sports night - pool, darts, table tennis or just a night by the
patio fire enjoying the club grounds. Most of these socials involve food and lots of it. Mexican, Chinese, Indian,
Curry nights and even Pie and Peas nights all go down equally well.
The club also boast a solar heated outdoor swimming
pool which is also complemented with a warm poolside shower. There is a modern decked veranda area with patio
furniture and parasols for that happy holiday feeling. It is a safe relaxing area for the family or for the
swimming enthusiast who wishes to do a few lengths to keep those muscles toned.
Close to the main pavilion
is the toilet and shower block where members can freshen themselves up after a hard day in the sun ready for the relaxing
night ahead. The showers are free to all members.
Lancashire Sun is situated between Rufford and Tarleton
on the A59 Liverpool Road, within easy reach of Southport and Preston. Lancashire Sun has a large gated car-park and
the site is open all year round to members.
